Cum se scrie corect, în românește: Șarapova sau Sharapova?

Numele proprii de origine slavonă se scriu în limba română după principiul fonetic - cum se aude, așa se scrie, re-amintește siteul Cum-se-scrie.ro.

"În cazul diacriticelor (întrucât limba română dispune de un astfel de inventar (î(â), ș, ț, ă), trebuie folosite și nu înlocuite cu grupări precum „sh” / ”tz” ș.a.m.d. (alte limbi vor folosi înlocuitori, deoarece nu au diacritice in alfabet:

Engleză: Sharapova; Română: Șarapova", precizează sursa citată.

Transcrierea în românește a numelor de origine slavonă constituie, din păcate, o provocare pentru o parte din jurnaliștii români, care preiau de-a gata modelul limbii engleze.

"Toponimele (numele de așezări, fie ele orașe, sate, zone) nu au o grafie stabilită (pot exista excepții, prin urmare)", arată siteul Cum-se-scrie.ro.
