Dan Brown, author of international bestsellers including Inferno, Angels & Demons, and The Da Vinci Code, will publish a new book, Origin, in 2017.
The next entry in Brown’s series of thrillers featuring Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon, Origin will publish in the U.S. and Canada on September 26, 2017, as a hardcover from Doubleday. It will also be available as an e-book and audiobook from Penguin Random House Audio. Transworld Publishers will publish the novel simultaneously in the U.K., and Vintage Espanol will publish a U.S. Spanish language edition.
Origin, Doubleday said, follows Langdon “into the dangerous intersection of humankind’s two most enduring questions, and the earth-shaking discovery that will answer them.” The novel, the imprint added, will feature the signature themes from Brown’s series, including symbology, science, religion, history, art, and architecture.
Jason Kaufman, v-p and executive editor at Doubleday, will edit the novel.
According to Doubelday, there are over 200 million copies of Brown’s books in print worldwide.
